[NEW] Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies (BCDSS) at the University of Bonn, Germany

We are happy to announce the opening of the Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies (BCDSS) at the University of Bonn, Germany (https://www.dependency.uni-bonn.de/en/).

The interdisciplinary center aims to further promote research on forms of dependency in pre-modern societies. The center concentrates on transcultural and interdisciplinary research with a special focus on non-European pre-modernity.

The BCDSS relies on the expertise of scholars from a wide range of disciplines. The center will further be strengthened by three professorships for forms of social dependency in the European and Asian region of the pre-modern era, as well as in international relations.

We are especially looking forward to a variety of stimulating international cooperation and an exciting academic exchange across various disciplines.
